Anger Habits Program / $120

Total Class Hours: 6
Small (6-15 students) instructor-led group sessions.

Dr. Carl Semmelroth, a nationally recognized expert in this field, developed this program exclusively for ABR. The sessions draw heavily on his best-selling book Anger Habits: Proven Principles to Calm the Stormy Mind and its accompanying workbook. Discussions are dynamic, interactive, and explore each student’s negative actions in a non-judgmental environment. In some cases it is recommended to add some number of Group Therapy sessions to increase and/or maintain insight and awareness.

Domestic Abuse Early Intervention / $120

Total Class Hours: 1 for the assessment then 6 hours in the classroom.

A one-on-one session for an Intake Assessment is scheduled prior to the didactic program. The didactic portion can be completed in either one or two sessions. The primary goal of the didactic process is for the facilitator to guide an exploration of behavioral change using the rigorous Duluth Domestic Violence Intervention Program strategies and techniques. The participant’s life history and their violent thoughts, feelings, and actions (as discovered and articulated during the assessment) guide the experiential process. In some cases it is recommended to add some number of Group Therapy sessions to increase and/or maintain insight and awareness.

Domestic Violence Program / $25 per session

Total Class Hours: 2 hours per week for as many weeks as ordered.
Small group sessions with 3-12 participants engaged in a highly interactive process.

This program is for male batterers.  First and foremost is a commitment to victim safety. The primary goal of the didactic process is for the facilitator to guide an exploration of behavioral change using the Duluth Domestic Violence Intervention Program strategies and techniques. The participant’s life history and their violent thoughts, feelings, and actions (as discovered and articulated during the assessment) guide the experiential process. THRIVE Program / $25 per session

Total Class Hours: 2 hours per week for as many weeks as ordered.
Small group sessions with 3-12 participants engaged in a highly interactive process.

This program is for women who are convicted of Domestic Assault and similar charges.  First and foremost is a commitment to victim safety. The primary goal of the didactic process is for the facilitator to guide an exploration of behavioral change using techniques and strategies to help participants accept responsibility for their use of force and to help them commit to a process of change through accountability, education and empowerment. .The participant’s life history and their violent thoughts, feelings, and actions (as discovered and articulated during the assessment) guide the experiential process.

Domestic Abuse Intake Assessment / $70

This is a one-on-one evaluation between the probationer and an ABR master’s level therapist that is used to determine the appropriate program required.
